MARC's ROCK ON 16TH SEPTEMBER 2009 Although we visited the day before to tidy you can see what happens when 'well meaning' people over fill the steps with bark chippings ... they get all over the place, including forcing their way behind the Memorial Plaque 'blanks'. Some of these excess bark chippings have since been removed. Most Springs we did out some of the old bark chippings as worms and other insects eat them and turn them to a soft, rich soil. Therefore we remove this before refilling the steps with new bark chippings in a suitable colour rather than the colour which was 'inflicted' - the artificial Orange dyed chippings.
