MICKEY FINN'S T-REX: QUEX PARK 19th JULY 2008
Kev and I have had a spiffing day in Margate (well just outside) at the 70's Extravoganza held at 'Quex Park', in the grounds of what was a Stately Home and is now a Museum. Big Open Air Stage. Stalls, Fun Fair up the top end, bouncy castles and all sorts of things. Gates opened at 2:00 pm and then the music started at 5:30 pm with Graham Oliver and Paul Fenton playing a 'Jim Hendrix-syle' version of the National Anthem. We left before the end of Suzi Q's set so we could beat the rush as 1,500 plus people all try to get out of one car park (actually a field) and get out of the country lanes which take you to the main roads. The whole event was in aid of Cancer Care & other local charities. There are a couple of photos of Suzi Q plus One Video too. If you were in the crowd check out the photos and videos to see if you were 'captured' on these hints of what was a Fine Hour and a Quarter Set by Mickey Finn's T-Rex.
Laser Love,
Fee
PS - Why not try the larger video versions on 'Full Screen', but remember - these videos were recorded using the 'camera-mike' which picked up the 'stage monitors' rather than the 'mixed' sound broadcast to the audience. Also the files are compressed and therefore all-in-all they DO NOT capture the proper Sound Quality of this band!
