March 1999 - The Visit which led to the immortal words
"You could do with some steps here!"

These Photos of our March 1999 Visit to The Tree Site, (before TAG was formed) shows cuttings being taken & also our Daughter Ellie adding her own 'Glam Touch' to the site. NOW IN THE 21ST cENTURY WE ARE REMINDED THAT PLASTIC GLITTER IS NOT A GOOD IDEA BECAUSE IT REMAINS IN THE SOIL FOR 100'S OF YEARS. THE GLITTER WILL FADE, BUT THE PLASTIC REMAINS. These photos do show up clearly the 'soil erosion', how the roots of The Bolan Tree were becoming exposed & also how muddy the site was. They also show the very poor condition of The Tree itself. The photos show the daffodil bulbs planted in October 1998 in flower.
