MISSING! DO YOU KNOW WHERE THIS IS? The Beautiful 'Pan' Statue left at The Tree on the 16th September this year by Long Time Sincere Bolan Fan Dean. Sadly, it has gone 'missing'. Dean ordered this specially from America and as you can imagine he was upset to find that it has gone. If you have this statue, or know where it is please can you return it via T-Rex Action Group, PO Box 5278, HOVE, BN52 9QP, England, UK The photo (left) was taken in the day it was left (16th September 2005) and also features in our video filmed on the same day.

16th NOVEMBER 2005

SO MUCH BOLEY COVERAGE :-) Hot on the heels of the "Girls and Boys: Sex and British Pop" BBC Series which featured Marc in Part Two: The 70's (how could they not?), Channel Four's 'John Peel's Music Box' also featured Marc. Be warned though, that it wasn't entirely complimentary.

NEW MEMBERS VIDEO UK Hall of Fame: 'John Peel's Music Box' The 'Bolan Moments' from this Channel Four programme transmitted on Monday 14th November 2005 at 11:10pm. How's that for speed? :-) Especially as Channel Four's programmes are split with advert breaks and, (isn't it always the way?), the Marc section spanned an advert break!!!!! So Kev has carefully edited this out for a straight run through. If you remember, in our update on the 27th August we announced this programme as a 'Scoop ... Scoop ... Scoop' News Item! The clip features footage of Tyrannosaurus Rex introduced by John Peel from late '67. I signed the legal permission paperwork for Channel Four's Production Company to use this clip on behalf of Steve Took's son Luke who lives in Australia :-) So, as well as the 'Bolan Side' I am also Steve Took's Family's legal representative. 	UPDATED & CORRECTED Many Tanx to Member Fiona for letting me know the T-Rex the band Video '20th Century Boy Video' link wasn't working. I discovered a couple more so I've been through every link (well into three figures!) to check them all. The video Fiona wanted had simply vanished :-o So Kev created a new Video. Instead of a clip 1 Minute, 24 Seconds long the new Video is 3 Minute, 45 Seconds Video (in two 'weights'). 	NEW KEITH MORRIS PHOTO GALLERY With Twenty Seven Photos. Varied photos from the USA in 1972. Some Live. Some in the car with June. Plus, some photos from the 'Legendary Years' Book.   This Gallery is in the Keith Morris Photo Galleries Section.   SLIDESHOW With smaller versions of the Gallery (above) as a slideshow Here.   'THE GUARDIAN' UK NEWSPAPER OBITUARY At Keith Morris's Memorial Celebration Guests received a poster which was the Obituary Page from The Guardian (A Quality UK Newspaper for non-UK readers) from Saturday 10th September 2005. This has been scanned (in sections & then 're-assembled') and added to the Report & Photos Page. It says a lot about Keith's standing that his Obituary is almost three times as big as that for Ex-Prime Minister Edward Heath (also reproduced on both the poster & the scan).

	RESOURCE & ARCHIVE CENTRE MEMBERS - APOLOGIES We have been so wrapped up in recovering from the Organising the Memorial Plaques followed by Keith Morris's Memorial Celebration last week that I have not been able to include the scans sent in by Resource & Archive Centre Members. Also, Keith has been on my mind of late (as you can imagine) so I wanted to include another Photo Gallery of photos taken by Keith. One over-riding thing which people said time & again at his Memorial Celebration was that Keith had the ability to capture the 'person within'. He certainly did this with Marc, so it seemed appropriate to include some of his fabulous photos. I hope you like the one above left. Check out the larger version in the New Photo Gallery of Keith's. 	SOME INTERESTING RELEASES I'm waiting for two releases both due out on the same day (see below). The Tony Stringfellow book sounds interesting & is certainly a novel approach. For Tyrannosaurus Rex fans the Tyrannosaurus Rex box set 'A Whole Zinc of Finches' gives everyone a chance to get possibily missed, previously bootlegged material legimitately in a nice box set. Good news that Rolan is now involved & is benefiting too.
	BOOK RELEASE DELAYED  We have been notified by the publishers that the 'Beneath the Wizard's Gown, Marc Bolan Unglittered' book by Tony Stringfellow which was due to be released on 3rd October will now be published on 24th October 2005.  More Info Here. 	UPDATED  The Letters Page has been updated with a couple of messages received recently, including a lovely one from Steve Currie's family who have received their Memorial Plaque Presentations :-)
	UPDATED  The Memorial Plaque Ceremony has been updated with an image of the fourth plaque on the Top Step, in reply to a letter we received from one of our members.
	TO COME - SITE MAP  I am working on a SITE MAP for the TAG site, despite saying "Never Again" after doing the Steve Took's Domain Site Map because it took far longer than expected. However this compliment about the Tookster's Site Map, together with our Visitor Statistics made me realise that one is needed here too! "I really like the website, especially the site map, I think that it is one of the easiest that I have navigated ". Obviously not all of the pages on the TAG Site map will be included because you may not realise that for September 2005 alone our visitors read a total of 46,118 Bolanic Pages which was made up of 1,015 Different Pages!!! So far, the site map, which is under construction is already bigger than the one on www.steve-took.co.uk & it's far from finished. This will we're sure allow our visitors to find what they want more easily. :-)

	ALSO OF INTEREST ON THE STEVE TOOK SITE: Part of an interview with Marc Bolan from 9th September 1977 where Marc talks of getting Steve Took and Mickey Finn to appear with him for this 30th Birthday 'Party' on October 8th. The party didn't happen because Marc Bolan died exactly one week after this interview. Read the Article Here

	NEW VIDEO The Tree Site in June 2005 The Current State of the Tree, plus Graffiti Removal. Well worth watching as this video shows the effect on the tree of tightly tied ribbons & what happens when they have been there for a few years as the tree grows & the trunk increases in circumference. The video shows quite clearly why TAG, whose primary concern is the safety & well-being of The Tree had no option by to remove some of the old ribbons.
	LARGER VERSION As always there is a 640 x 480 Version as both 'wmv' & DivX Files of this video in the Members Video Section All Videos in the Members Section (in any file 'weight') can be downloaded & saved to your hard drive.

UPDATED  HOW TO FIND THOSE EASTER EGGS! We've received a query about how to find the Easter Egg of 'Marc's Home Movie' footage on Disc 2. We've added to the original 'instructions' to make them easier to follow. If you still can't get to either of the two 'Easter Eggs' then take your DVD back - It's faulty - as the instructions do work!

	MEMORIAL PLAQUES - NOW LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY We'd like to thank the people who have sent in donations towards the plaques. It's nice to know you think this is a worthwhile project :-) TAG was formed over six years ago now and it is gratifying to know that our hard work and not inconsiderable time is appreciated. We're pleased to be able to offer all those who donate £6.00 or more a Free 'T-Rex Live in Nantes Live 1977' CD as a 'TANX'.

Listen on the Web at www.classic21.be, then click on "Ecoutez-nous". * I assume this is European time as the radio station is based in Belgium. For the UK it's probably safest to deduct 1 hour and make sure you're tuned in by 10:00 am!
	NEW ARTICLE  from the 2002 Telegraph Article (31st August). This has been added to the Marc Bolan & T-Rex Biography & because of Gloria's recollections of the evening before the crash that turned a simple tree by a road into 'Marc's Rock Shrine', a link has also been added to it from the History of the Tree - Chapter One Page. Lovely to see,in a detailed and often troubled article, a Mention of TAG's Bust! Especially in such a high-quality UK Newspaper too!) :-) It doesn't really matter that TAG isn't specifically mentioned as visitors to this web site & the Tree Site know :-)

This page is under construction and will be added to as soon as possible with text; images, audio and video clips. 	PLAQUES UPDATE  Two 'Mock ups' of the plaques in place are now included on a New Page dedicated to Memorial Plaque Details as we work into the final month before their unveiling for September 16th this year.
